Information on use
The multi waler 140 is used to brace panel joints without requiring additional ties. For both horizontal and vertical use, the multi waler 140 is positioned and connected at the rear of the panel. Depending on the formwork system, the multi waler 140 is mounted quickly and easily in the hat profile or in the transverse grid. Thanks to the multi waler 140, you can also save on ties by spanning the multi waler to the next tie.
Fastening options for every formwork system
Three different fastening options exist for bracing horizontal and vertical panel joints on LOGO and NeoR formwork systems. The first option is the clamping piece. Here, the clamping piece is inserted through the elongated hole of the multi waler 140 and the hat profile, and secured at the top via a wedge. With the second option, a hook headed bolt is inserted through the elongated hole of the multi waler 140, rotated by 90° in the hat profile and then screwed in from above with a plate with ball-and-socket joint. The third option is a waler guide which functions similarly to the second fastening option.
Waler guides are used to brace horizontal and vertical panel joints on Modular/GE universal formwork. This waler guide is inserted though the elongated hole of the multi waler 140 and secured in the bolt hole of the transverse grid. The multi waler 140 is then screwed onto the formwork from above by means of a plate with ball-and-socket joint or wing nut.
Long service life
To ensure a long service life, the multi waler is hot-dip galvanised which gives it a robust and permanent coating and enables it to be used in all weathers.
Expanded range of applications for the multi waler 140
The multi waler 140 can also be easily extended using the multi waler hinge piece, enabling panel connections formed around corners to be braced easily, securely and rapidly. Angled structures ranging from an acute 60° angle to an obtuse 150° angle can therefore be braced. For more information about this, see the item: Hinged part multi waler.
